Three years ago, Kiwi surfer Ricardo Christie had almost given up on his career.
After failing to make the prestigious World Surf League's Championship Tours, he was ready to call quits.
But through the support of some determined Kiwi athletes, and the New Zealand surfing community, he pushed through to become one of the country's best surfers.
