Kamilia Shamise's book Home Fire won one of the UK's most prestigious literature prizes, the Women's Prize for Fiction.
It tells the story of two British Muslim sisters and their jihadist brother and asks the question, "why do some people become radicalised?"
Shamise will speak at the Auckland Writers Festival tomorrow afternoon, but first, she dropped into The AM Show.
