The Government has released details of it's proposed Digital Services Tax, which intends to tax large online multinational companies.

It would include companies such as Facebook, Uber, YouTube and Airbnb.

So far these offshore companies pay a very minimal amount as tax.

These taxes are expected to contribute to the NZ economy but experts fear the burden of these taxes may eventually fall on consumer.
