'We made a mistake': TLC chief executive apologises for refusing to connect power for five months

The CEO of The Lines Company (TLC) Sean Horgan has admitted his company "made a mistake" after it was revealed TLC refused to connect power to a property for five months over an estate bill.

The Hui revealed Lorna Rakena a mother of five was forced to live without power for five months because of an outstanding debt incurred by her deceased grandmother whose estate was still being settled.

Horgan told The Hui TLC's process "is broken" and that Rakena's case is being reviewed to ensure it's not repeated.

Horgan has now apologised to Rakena and the pair have come to a confidential agreement.
