Terry Wilson's granddaughter Maddy died suddenly at the age of just 17.
Days before, he'd joked about someday walking the 800 kilometre Camino de Santiago, the world-famous pilgrim route of Europe. In the wake of her passing, he realised he had to do it.
Years later and Terry is something of a Camino veteran, even starring in a feature-length documentary about six Kiwis and Aussies who walked the trail as a group.
It's called Camino Skies and it is released nationwide today.
Terry Wilson spoke to The AM Show.
