New campaign aims to curb New Zealand's type 2 diabetes problem

Around 250,000 New Zealanders suffer from diabetes, making it the fastest-growing health issue facing our nation.

With a staggering 1 in 4 of us having pre-diabetes it's worth remembering there is a way to keep it at bay. A campaign launching next week aims to kick diabetes to the curb, all by promoting regular exercise.

Diabetes New Zealand chief executive Heather Verry spoke to The AM Show about it.
