Award-winning chef Amanda Cohen touts the taste of vegetables

With the rise of the vege movement in New Zealand, one in 10 Kiwis are now mostly or completely meat-free in their eating habits.

Vege-only meals may not appealing to everyone, but that's something Amanda Cohen wants to change.

The Canadian-born chef is owner of the New York City restaurant Dirt Candy, which has been recognised by the Michelin Guide for five years in a row.

Her restaurant serves nothing but vegetables and aims to make them taste better than anything you have ever had before.

The award-winning chef spoke The AM Show about why veges are so good.
