Many of us will remember the days of re-usable nappies.
Once a staple of child raising, they’re now all but replaced by the convenience of disposables.
The Auckland Council has found disposable nappies make up around 11-14 per cent of the domestic waste stream.
Research shows if every baby had just one reusable nappy change a day, this would prevent one million disposables from going to landfill every week in New Zealand.
