Australia's bushfire season has barely begun, but already it's claimed six lives and destroyed more than 500 homes.
There are no signs of it slowing down and yesterday the state of Victoria issued its highest bushfire warning - code red.
Two people who have experienced the horrific consequences of an out-of-control bushfire are Terry Lee and his wife Moira.
They were caught in the 2015 Pinery bushfire which ripped through 85,000 hectares of land, destroying 91 homes and killing two people.
Terry and Moira tried to flee but became separated. Terry suffered horrific injuries before being found and rescued.
They spoke to The AM Show.
