'Still a lot of Stigma' towards those affected by HIV

Years ago, being diagnosed with HIV would have been considered a death sentence. But now thanks to the advancement of medicine, those diagnosed with the condition are able to fight against it.

There are currently 3500 people living with HIV in New Zealand. According to those carrying the virus there is still a lot of stigma surrounding it.

National Coordinator of Positive Women Inc, Jane Bruning, shared her own experience with The AM Show.
