The Education Ministry is phoning every school in the country to discuss plans for closures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
The ministry said its staff would call this week to ask principals about their school's ability to teach children online if they were asked to close.
Schools in the US have now closed for what could be as long as the rest of the school year.
