We're almost halfway through level 3, that is, if everything goes to plan.
New Zealanders enjoyed a bit of extra freedom over the weekend, with trips within their region and a choice of takeaways.
However, there was still some flouting of the rules, with police breaking up parties and people traveling outside of their regions.
"We're now nearly a week into level 3 and while there could be some excuses early on, everyone should now be more familiar with the rules, both around increased retail activity and our own social interactions." said Dr Ashley Bloomfield, Director-General of Health.
“It's been concerning to see some behaviours continue into the weekend and ultimately, this could slow a move to level 2."
