New Zealand's falling literacy standards

According to a new report from the Office of the Prime Minister's Chief Science Advisor, new measures are needed to address declining levels of literacy and persistent inequity in Aotearoa New Zealand. 

The report outlines the recent fall in literacy, mathematics and science levels, and highlights ongoing inequalities between Māori, Pasifika and Pākehā students.
