Today is Guy Fawkes day!
This tradition is more than 400 years old and comes from a plot by Guy Fawkes and 11 other men to blow up the British Parliament – known as the “Gunpowder Plot”.
Here in New Zealand there is very little focus on the reason for the celebration, and it's simply a good occasion to get together with friends and family for some start of summer fun.
