No New Zealand players implicated in IPL bans

New Zealand Cricket have confirmed no New Zealand players have been implicated in the Indian Premier League betting scandal.

The Chennai Kings and Rajasthan Royals are at the centre of the scandal and their respective owners have been handed two-year bans for illegally betting on matches.

Chennai Kings are currently coached by former Black Caps captain Stephen Fleming, and have current New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum and fast bowler Matt Henry on their roster.

Black Caps seamer Tim Southee currently players for the Royals.

NZC said in a statement that none of the current Black Caps wished to comment on potential suspensions.

The Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) said it would decide whether to implement the recommendations after fully studying the whole report.
