New Zealand Football boss Andy Martin is adamant the Oly Whites squad were all eligible to play in the Olympic qualifying Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea and had received confirmation before the tournament started.
Lawyers are currently working on appealing a decision that saw them disqualified from playing in the final after it was deemed South African-born player Deklan Wynne didn't fulfil residency requirements.
Coach Anthony Hudson couldn't elaborate but thought his squad handled the whole drama incredibly well.
"We won all our games, we kept clean sheets, the players have been absolutely incredible in difficult conditions I'm very proud of them, very proud of the staff, the players and it was a success. This is out of our control," Hudson said.
New Zealand Football will have more to say at a media conference later today.
