It's no secret that when Alastair Cook gets going, he's one of the best batsmen in the world.
And he looked in the mood to make a bad day even worse for Australia on the first day of the third Ashes Test as he started to accumulate runs in typically dominant fashion.
But in a bizarre turn of events, a characteristically destructive pull shot was snatched from the air by short leg Adam Voges, who was simply in the right place at the right time as the ball ricocheted off his thigh, before becoming lodged between his hands and stomach.
The catch shocked the Edgbaston crowd and even fooled the cameraman, who took several seconds to realise the ball hadn't actually made its way to the boundary.
