A top young New Zealand cricketer has appeared in court charged with rape and sexual violation.
Scott Kuggeleijn, 23, was represented by Philip Morgan QC when he appeared before a community magistrate in the Hamilton District Court today, Fairfax Media reported. He did not seek name suppression.
Kuggeleijn pleaded not guilty to both charges.
The charges relate to separate incidents involving two victims earlier this year; in March and May.
Kuggeleijn will next appear in court on September 24.
