Barcelona and Brazil superstar Neymar is reportedly open to a move to Manchester United either this year or next.

Neymar is a crucial member of Barcelona's squad and has three years left on his contract but sources close to the winger say the 23-year-old is attracted by the size and history of United.

United are reportedly aiming to seal the deal before the September 1 transfer deadline, however they believe a deal is more likely next August.

Vice-chairman Ed Woodward has spent time in Barcelona this transfer window trying to secure the signature of winger Pedro who eventually moved to Chelsea, but it is now thought he was in Spain as part of a deal to land Neymar.

Barcelona manager Luis Enrique refused to talk about the rumours after their season-opening 1-0 win over Athletic Bilbao.

"It doesn't interest me to talk about rumours, nor these types of situations," he said.
