Cronulla Sharks front-rower Andrew Fifita has accepted a six-week NRL ban and a fine of $30,000 for abusing a junior rugby league referee.
Fifita and his twin brother David were handed the same ban and ordered to attend an anger-management course by the Cronulla Sharks board after the incident two weeks ago.
The pair were banned from Penrith Junior Rugby League matches for a year after Andrew allegedly threatened a referee, saying: "I'll smash you".
The suspension has been backdated meaning the brothers will be available to play for the Sharks in the first week of the finals.
The Sharks are currently fifth in the NRL ladder, two points behind the Rabbitohs in fourth and two points ahead of the Storm who are sixth.
