Konrad Hurrell, Anthony Tupou to face off again

Warriors centre Konrad Hurrell's vowed to maintain his physical approach as he prepares to come face to face with Anthony Tupou for the first time since breaking the Sharks forward's jaw.

Hurrell served a three-game suspension for dangerous contact after lifting his knee while Tupou was making a tackle - accidentally shattering Tupou's jaw and leaving him a bloody mess back in May.

It was deemed as unintentional by the NRL match review committee but has forced Hurrell to adapt his style with ball in hand.

"It's still in my head, but I've learnt a lot from it with my running technique so hopefully it won't happen again" Hurrell said.

One thing he is looking forward to is the chance to finally get to speak to Tupou - after a previous attempt to catch up in Sydney never eventuated.

"Didn't get a chance when I went over - was there to send a message that I didn't mean to do it" Hurrell said. "I'd be happy to catch up with him after the game"

Hurrell underlined his main focus is on helping his injury-hit team bounce back after consecutive defeats, the 8th placed Warriors hosting the 6th ranked Sharks at Mt Smart Stadium on Saturday.
