Nehe Milner-Skudder could become the ninth All Blacks debutant this year.

The Hurricanes winger has been tipped to be picked on the right wing when the side to face the Wallabies in Sydney is named first thing Thursday morning.

All Blacks assistant coach Ian Foster revealed Milner-Skudder is over his rib problems and has slotted in nicely to the All Blacks environment.

"What he's learnt is a little bit about what it means to be an All Black," Foster said.

"When we bring new guys in we like to take our time a little bit to make sure they're clear about that before they go out on the park and to make sure that when they go out on the park, they know how we want to play so they can go out and trust their instinct."

Veteran midfielder Ma'a Nonu won't play this Saturday but is on track to return from a shoulder injury in the reverse fixture in Auckland next week.
