Shoulder charges again dominate the NRL rap-sheet after another controversial weekend that has left Warrior Sam Rapira with a couple of headaches for different reasons.
The monster hit from Panthers rookie Regan Campbell-Gillard that knocked Rapira unconscious in the 18th minute was deemed only a grade two careless high tackle. The young Penrith prop can avoid suspension with an early guilty plea.
But Rapira is facing a week on the sideline at the hands of the match review committee after being slapped with a grade one dangerous throw from an incident in the second minute of the game on former teammate Lewis Brown.
Warriors fullback Sam Tomkins was also charged with dangerous contact on Brown but won't miss any football in his NRL swansong.
Despite all the publicity, six players have fallen foul of the crackdown on shoulder charges this round, with still one game to be played.
The Roosters' Kangaroos and Queensland Origin star Aidan Guerra is facing two weeks out for his hit on Eels opposite Peni Terepo, as is Titan Jordan Rapana for a collision with Manly wing Jordan Taufua.
Like Rapira, Taufua finds himself on both ends of the judicial process. An early guilty plea will see him miss one game, but two if he fights his grade one charge and loses. The same fate applies for the Gold Coast's Lachlan Burr.
