Video: Black Sticks sharpen mental game – Punt full interview

Anita Punt (Photosport)

With one year to go until the Rio Olympics, Black Sticks captain Anita Punt chats to Michelle Pickles about the relief of officially qualifying for the games, and why it's so important for the team to get that early qualification.

After a promising campaign in London, the Black Sticks finished a disappointing fourth, and are determined to right the wrongs of that campaign and come away with a medal in Rio.

Punt believes their inability to win the big matches, and also their failure to convert penalty shoot outs into wins, comes down to mental strength. And that is something they will be working hard on in the next year.

Watch the video to find out how the Black Sticks will build up for Rio, what they learned from London, and how they remedy the issue of losing the important matches.
