The Silver Ferns open their World Cup tournament this afternoon against Barbados in what is set to be a taxing campaign.
Today's game will be the first of eight games over 10 days, but captain Casey Kopua is confident the squad can handle the rigorous schedule.
"I think it's just being smart with our recovery, but also when we're out on the court making sure we do what's needed, but not overdoing it," Kopua said.
"It's quite hard to measure, but we know what we've got to do.
"We've practiced it back in New Zealand so we know that we can do it, we've just got to do it again."
All 12 members of the Silver Ferns squad are expected to get game time in the opening few matches.

"We're looking to get all our people out for the first block of three games," Taumaunu said.
"But there's a fine line between giving people enough court time, and not overdoing it leading into the Australia game on Sunday."
