The Wellington Phoenix kick off a brand new season in the A-League later tonight with a home game against the Newcastle Jets.
The Phoenix had their best campaign under coach Ernie Merrick last time out, but faltered when it mattered in the playoffs.
3 News caught up Merrick a short time ago and asked him: "Is this the season the Phoenix win a maiden title?"
