Arsenal have been dumped out of the League Cup by second division side Sheffield Wednesday, going down 3-0 at Hillsborough.
The Gunners named a team mixed with both youthful and experienced players, but lost first team duo Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and his replacement Theo Walcott to injuries in the first 15 minutes.
Wednesday broke the deadlock 27 minutes into the contest when Daniel Pudil broke away down the left and picked out the run of Ross Wallace, who hit a first-time strike past Petr Cech.
The hosts picked up a second minutes later when Lucas Joao rose highest in the box to head Wallace's cross home.
Wednesday added a third after sloppy defending from Arsenal allowed Glenn Looven to peel away from a free-kick and delicately cross the ball for Sam Hutchinson to bundle home.
A deafening cheer from the 35,000 home fans rung out at full-time as Wednesday comfortably beat Arsenal to move onto the quarter-finals.
