The Tasman Makos have continued their unbeaten start to 2015 with a 36-17 dismantling of Wellington at Westpac Stadium.
After 25 try-less minutes it was a break from Wellington's stand out No.8 Vaea Fifita which opened the try scoring, bursting clear from halfway and setting up Frae Wilson to dot down.
The Makos came out of the halftime interval with a narrow 6-5 advantage which was quickly erased by a Jackson Garden-Bachop try from close range.
Peter Samu soon had the visitors back in front, bursting through some weak defense to waltz under the crossbar from 22 metres out.
Tasman extended their lead in the 62nd minute when centre Kieran Fonotia rampaged his way through multiple defenders to score from ten metres out.
Some careless work at the breakdown five minutes later saw replacement Marco Kotze crash across the line for the Makos' to put the result beyond doubt.
Captain Shane Christie crossed from a line-out drive to notch the bonus point five minutes from fulltime, Wesley Goosen grabbing a consolation try for the locals with time expired.
