Video: Warriors post-match press conference

Warriors head coach Andrew McFadden cut a dejected figure as he sat to face the waiting media following his side's 36-0 capitulation against the St George Dragons in Wellington earlier this evening.

"Embarrassing," offered McFadden.

"We had a great opportunity to come down here and perform in front of our fans but we've let them down tonight, no doubt about that."

McFadden was damning in his assessment of the performances of some of his players.

"There were not enough people up to first grade standard out there tonight. It's probably a sign of some of our players really struggling at the end of the year," he offered.

"We're struggling to score points and it's putting a lot more pressure on us than we can cope with at the moment."

Captain Simon Mannering was equally disappointed in his team's efforts, citing the support the Warriors were shown in their lone outing at Westpac Stadium this season.

"It's not what our fans down here deserve."

"It was a decent crowd that turned out for us in trying conditions and we tossed up something pretty ordinary."

To add injury to insult, McFadden also announced that winger Manu Vatuvei had suffered a recurrence of the shoulder injury that recently kept him out of action for a month but was unable to confirm the extent of the damage.
