Remembering Jonah Lomu

The rugby world is mourning after former All Black Jonah Lomu passed away suddenly early this morning, aged 40.

Lomu was prolific on social media, and without realising it he was using Twitter to leave a record of the last few weeks of his life. Kim Vinnell shares what that looked like.

Mike Brewer was an All Black in the 1995 Rugby World Cup side where Lomu grabbed international headlines and knew him well.  John McBeth was one of New Zealand's favourite rugby commentators when Lomu was at his peak. They joined Story live from Wellington to talk about the big man.

An amazing thing about Lomu was that while he was playing some of his best rugby, he was already sick. But he kept his deteriorating health out of the public eye for many years. Former All Black Stu Wilson remembers some of the other things he kept quiet.

It'll give you some idea of what a star Lomu still is internationally, that his death has made headlines around the world. He is arguably a bigger star overseas than in New Zealand and he was mobbed everywhere he went. Former Wallaby Peter Fitzsimons even claims Australians loved him more than Kiwis did. Story caught up with him and fellow Wallaby great George Gregan.
