Sonny Bill Williams was reunited with young fan Charlie Line as the All Blacks departed London.
Williams graciously gave his Rugby World Cup winners medal to the 14-year-old when he was tackled by a security guard after running onto the field after the match.
"Good to see the young fulla today, ur part of the team now bro," the All Blacks midfielder tweeted with a photo of Line.
Williams was presented with a replacement medal to a standing ovation at the World Rugby awards in London
In total, 33 All Blacks received winning medals.
That includes original squad members Tony Woodcock and Wyatt Crockett, who were injured out of the tournament and their prop replacements, Joe Moody and Pauliasi Manu.
It is an unexpected reward for uncapped Chiefs loosehead Manu, who officially joined the squad days out from the final when Crockett was ruled out.
