Former All Black Eric Rush has delivered a hilarious and emotional speech at Jonah Lomu's Eden Park memorial, touching on a number of stories during their time playing together.
Rush, who represented New Zealand in Sevens and rugby union with Lomu, said he wanted to touch on a few stories about the man he affectionately called "big fella".
"I'm going to tell a few stories about the big fella and hope he doesn't sit up," Rush joked.
Rush credited himself with getting Lomu in to the New Zealand Sevens set up after asking him to come to Singapore to which he replied "sweet".
"That was the extent of our conversations back then."
He also claimed he know when Lomu would be in for a big game.
"I knew when he was going to play well when the nostrils starting flaring up because he took all the oxygen so nobody could use it."
