Sydney Roosters' Mitchell Pearce has been caught up in what could be a career-ending scandal, involving depraved acts to a dog.
A video is allegedly being shopped around featuring the league star boozing with teammates at a house party last night.
Reports of the video say Pearce was in a room with a female when he made an advance toward her. When she rejected his advance he then turned his attention onto a dog, committing what 7 News reporter Josh Massoud calls "a depraved act".
In the video, Pearce is seen picking up the little white dog and simulating a sexual act on it.
The owner of the dog enters the room and expresses her displeasure, saying the dog was "off limits" and accusing Pearce of urinating on the couch.
She then sends Pearce away from the apartment.
The NRL has asked the Roosters for a report into the incident, after the club advised them about the matter.
"The Integrity Unit will work with the Roosters to ensure the matter is dealt with appropriately," a spokesman says.
