Wild Auckland weather might have delayed play, but the first ASB Classic women's semi-final is finally underway with Julia Goerges taking on Tamira Paszek.
Meanwhile last night, Caroline Wozniacki made her mark at the ASB Classic.
"I think I played really well. I started strongly and played aggressively and came to the net a few times and served well," she says. "It was a good performance. I was really excited about it."
The Dane was dominant and ruthless from the get-go against Romania's Alexandra Dulgheru.
While Dulgheru dropped service early, the third seed maintained her form of not dropping a set all week.
The Romanian's game was simply falling apart.
Wozniaki took the first set 6-1 in just 28 minutes.
The 25-year-old proceeded to school her opponent in the second, claiming the victory 6-1, 6-0 – a performance she will no doubt want to repeat against Sloane Stephens later tonight.
