A hot new hobby is starting to take off.

Drone racing is fast becoming a sport to watch in New Zealand.

Drones are connected back to video goggles so that people can race them around courses.

Racers build their own courses and compete. The other option is freestyle flying which has no course, you just send it up and enjoy the view.  

Drone racer Ian Richardson joined Paul Henry to tell him more about the new sport.

NZ”s 1st National Champs are on March 12, 2016.
