Barcelona forward Pedro is set to sign with Manchester United for a fee in the region of €32 million (NZ$53.2 million), according to Spanish paper Marca.
However, they may have to wait a while longer to complete the deal, with Barcelona keen to hold onto Pedro until after their European Super Cup tie with Sevilla on August 11.
That’s three days after United’s Premier League campaign kicks off, which may prompt manager Louis Van Gaal to try and force through a deal earlier.
27-year-old Pedro would replace Argentine winger Angel Di Maria, who looks to be on his way to Paris St Germain after a disappointing first season with the Red Devils.
