Australia's top Test spinner Nathan Lyon admits he'll be keeping a close eye on the telly this afternoon even though he's playing an historic match in Christchurch.
Lyon is taking on Western Australia with New South Wales at Lincoln to take part in the first ever Sheffield Shield match outside Australia.
Three Test players are involved in the game, Lyon, wicket-keeper Peter Nevil and Adam Voges.
The Shield game is seen as an opportunity for Australia's top players to get used to different conditions and Lyon knows he'll have to work hard on a Lincoln surface that doesn't traditionally produce a lot of spin.
But Lyon though will keep tabs on Australia's opening first One Day International against the Black Caps at Eden Park.
