Black Caps speedster Matt Henry has risen to fourth in the latest ICC World Rankings while teammate Trent Boult remains in top spot.
The 24-year-old, who was left out of New Zealand's World Twenty20 squad, jumped three places in the ODI ranks to crack the top five for the first time after a productive series against Australia in which he took eight wickets.
Above him is Australia's Mitchell Starc, who missed the New Zealand tour through injury, Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan, and Boult.
Australian duo Josh Hazlewood (36th) and John Hastings (44th) also received boosts in the rankings after their performances against New Zealand.
In the ODI batting rankings, Kane Williamson fell three places to seventh while Martin Guptill reached a career-high eighth.
South Africa's AB de Villiers currently leads Virat Kohli and Hashim Amla in the rankings after the Proteas series against England.
Brendon McCullum has retired at 24th in the rankings.
