Three All Blacks will need to prove their fitness at Hurricanes training ahead of their Super Rugby clash with the Blues in Auckland on Friday.
Captain Dane Coles is still recovering from hamstring and calf strains, Nehe Milner-Skudder is getting over a bruised knee, and Cory Jane is working through concussion protocols.
Coles has been bracketed at hooker with Leni Apisai in what would be the only change to the pack that lost to the Highlanders while the right-wing spot has been left vacant.
Depending on fitness, the No.14 jersey and the final bench spot could go to Milner-Skudder, Jane, Jason Woodward or Pita Ahki.
Hurricanes coach Chris Boyd said the sensible option was to err on the side of caution with all three injuries.
"We won't start guys unless they are 100 percent fit and ready to go and we won’t know if that's the case until they get through a full training run without any issues."
