The Newcastle Knights are yet to taste victory on the field in 2016 but they've had a win with the NRL match review committee.

Warriors forwards Sam Lisone and Konrad Hurrell were on the receiving end of tackles where dangerous pressure was put on their arm and shoulder - a move dubbed the 'chicken wing'.

Both former Junior Kiwis hooker Danny Levi and wing Nathan Ross were put on report for the incidents - but only Ross has been charged by the match review committee.

However, his effort on Hurrell in the 50th minute of the Knights 40-18 loss at Mt Smart has only drawn a grade one dangerous contact charge, which will see him avoid suspension with an early guilty plea.

Three players are facing bans out of round four - Kiwi born Eels enforcer Manu Ma'u (2 weeks) Titans forward James Ryan (1 week) and Marika Koroibete (1 week).
