Top 5 Super Rugby tries of the week

This week's Top Five kicks off with a uniquely engineered try to Cheetah Sergeal Petersen, Raymond Rhule employing the cross-field kick Aussie Rules style to open some space for fullback Clayton Blommetjies to send his winger in.

The Hurricanes ran in a couple of gems against the Kings, blockbusting flanker Ardie Savea leaving a wake of defenders as he rampaged to the line and the Tongan Bear Loni Uhila  defying his jersey number to go 30 metres and link with Vince Aso to finish acrobatically in the corner.

The Sunwolves continued to remain true to their brand of expansive running rugby, this time Akihito Yamada completing a spectacular 80 metre effort despite a nasty head-clash with Bulls' cover defender Warrick Gelant.

Of course this week's number one goes to outstanding Chiefs fullback Damian McKenzie, the livewire completing a scintillating length of the field effort by a backline in truly imperious form.
