Video: McFadden keen to juggle Hurrell's minutes

The Warriors will continue to experiment with Konrad Hurrell as an impact player off the bench against the Sydney Roosters.

Hurrell impressed in his 20 minutes of action in the drought-breaking win over the Knights, but coach Andrew McFadden isn't sure if it's a viable long term option.

"Konrad can obviously cover our outside backs and as we saw in the weekend he can do a job in the forwards as well," said McFadden.

"I'm not sure how long it will last, because obviously Konrad's value is over 80 minutes. He's doing a good job for us at the moment."

McFadden is cautious around Hurrell's match fitness knowing he will be thrown into a starting place if anyone goes down injured.

"If we did get an injury down the track and he's only playing 20 minutes every week it's going to compromise his ability to play 80.

"It's something we're going to have to juggle and be aware of and just make sure we get that right balance."

Monday's win over the Knights was Hurrell's first involvement with the team since the Auckland Nines.

Hurrell was happy to do his part for the team and was excited to be back on the field.

"I just couldn't wait to get on the field and play with the boys," said Hurrell.

"It was my first game for this season and I was just too excited to get on."

A win against the Knights lifted some pressure off the Warriors, and they'll be looking to pile it on the winless Roosters (0-4) on Sunday.
