The Warriors aren't getting caught up in talk of a 10-game losing streak saying 2016 is a new year for a new team.
The club haven't won an NRL game since July last year, a stretch that featured eight games from last year and the first two this season.
But captain Ryan Hoffman isn't living in the past and goes into every game confident.
"What's happened last year is done and we're a brand new team here for 2016 so it's our first good game at home, our chance to play in front of all of our members so we're looking forward to it," Hoffman said.
Losses to Wests Tigers and Brisbane Broncos mean they're still searching for a win this season but Hoffman is confident they're due this weekend against the Melbourne Storm.
"If you take the first half of the Tigers game out, we've actually played three really good halves of football where we've actually played quite well so there's a lot of optimism and we know that first win is not far away," Hoffman said.
