The Cleveland Cavaliers have blown the Toronto Raptors off the court in game one of the Eastern Conference Finals, cruising to a 115-84 win.

The Raptors came out with purpose to open the first quarter, DeMar DeRozan going shot for shot with the hosts though the majority of the period until a 22-2 Cavs run sparked by a monster jam by LeBron James saw Cleveland bolt clear – entering halftime with a 66-44 advantage.

The slaughter became even more gruesome in the second half, the Cavs riding a near faultless James from the field as they stretched their lead to 30 points at the end of the third quarter.

Both sides pulled their starters for the final quarter which was all academic, the Cavs lead ballooning to as much as 35 points at one stage.

LeBron James was the pick of the hosts, shooting 11/13 from the field for 24 points, while Kyrie Irving added 27 points and five assists.

Game two is in Cleveland on Friday (NZT).
