Video highlights: Samoa overcome Tonga 18-6

Samoa have downed Tonga 18-6 in a fiercely contested Test match in Parramatta.

After an electric clash of war dances the contest kicked off under a haze of fan noise, the intensity on the field more than matching that of the respective side's fans.

It was the Tongans who were first on the board, winger Mosese Tangai soaring to pull in the bomb and dot down.

The Samoans pulled one in the 15th minute, Fa'amanu Brown pouncing on a fumbled kick, then adding a penalty in the final minute of the half to send his side into the sheds up 8-6.

It took a further 15 minutes into the second stanza for any further score, Ricky Leutele slicing through the line and fending his way across the chalk to give Samoa a 14-6 advantage.

Matthew Wright barrelled over from dummy half to add another to the Samoan total with five minutes left to seal the contest.
