All Blacks head coach Steve Hansen was pleased with the improvement shown by his side in overcoming a determined Wales outfit in the second Test in Wellington.
"There was a lot more clarity about what we were trying to do," noted Hansen.
"Our line-out was a lot better, we managed to put pressure on their ball. And our scrum, in the end we scored two great set-piece tries off it."
Assistant coach Ian Foster made particular mention of the impact of first-five Beauden Barrett, forced on to the field earlier than usual after a scary injury to Aaron Cruden.
"He played really well," said Foster.
"He looked really sharp, carried the ball strongly and made some good decisions, particularly with his passing game."
Skipper Kieran Read had an immense impact on the game himself, and credited an early second half onslaught in which the All Blacks scored three tries in the space of just 10 minutes as the difference in the contest.
"It's always pretty crucial in that period just after halftime," said Read.
"The game was obviously in the balance on the scoreboard. We got a bit of momentum and just settled into our work a bit better."
