Troubled rugby league star Kieran Foran is looking to escape Sydney for the familiar shores of New Zealand in a bid to revive his waning career.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting the Foran wants to secure a one-year deal with the Warriors for the 2018 NRL season.
Warriors chief executive Jim Doyle admitted to have been in recent contact with Foran and said he was helping the Kiwi work through some of his off field problems.
Doyle's close relationship with Foran dates back to their time together in the Kiwi's set-up when Doyle ran New Zealand Rugby League.
The Warriors recently cleared salary cap space with the early release of Thomas Leuluai and although they wouldn't be able to offer the sort of money other NRL clubs could, the opportunity for time away from the bright lights of Sydney is believed to be appealing to the former Kiwi's captain.
Foran will be holidaying in New Zealand next month to visit with Sonny Bill Williams.
