Israel Dagg hasn't has a lot of Rugby Tens experience but he has had more than most of his teammates.
The All Black fullback was in attendance at Thursday's launch of the 10-a-side carnival dreamed up by Duco events, that is set to debut in February next year at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium.
Dagg played a tournament in Hong Kong in 2008 and believes it is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
"It's an amazing game, it will be tough and fast," he said.
"I guess there won't be a lot of kicking which is a positive for the fans, there's going to be running rugby with the boy's running it out from their own goal line, there will be a lot more space."
14 clubs from around the world will be involved including all five New Zealand Super Rugby franchises as well as teams from Australia, South Africa, France, Japan and Samoa.
Dagg thinks this will be a great chance for players to express themselves after a tough pre-season.
"It a great opportunity for the guys to showcase their skills"
As far as the make-up of the squads Dagg isn't too sure, but he did give some advice to his new coach Scott Robertson as too what type of player he should select.
"You would probably pick the guys who are strong, who can clean rucks and are pretty skilful."
And what position does Dagg see himself filling?
"I'd back myself to be a hooker and throw the ball in, he said jokingly.
