Scott Dixon crashed out of contention during the latest IndyCar Series race in Ohio after making contact with a fellow driver.

The IndyCar champion crashed out after 15 laps when he made contact with Brazilian rival Helio Castronevez.

Dixon attempted to pass Castronevez on the inside when the two collided, causing serious damage to his front suspension as it folded over and he pulled off the track.

The Kiwi driver didn't return until lap 60 after his crew managed to fix up his car in an attempt to grab something from the race.

Simon Pagenaud went on to win the race ahead of Will Power. Dixon finished back in 22nd place.
