Lydia Ko was delighted with her silver medal at the Rio Olympics, but she was more delighted with the fact she got to meet former All Blacks captain Richie McCaw.
"It was pretty cool to finally meet her," said McCaw.
"It's amazing what she has done, for a 19-year-old to win a silver medal."
The world No. 1 finally got to meet McCaw at the Kiwi House in Rio after claiming her silver medal.
The two-time World Cup winner was in Rio to support his fiancée, Gemma Flynn, who was a part of the Black Sticks squad who finished fourth at the Olympics.
Golf made its return to the Olympics for the first time since the 1904 Olympics in St Louis, Missouri.
